MEMORIAL SERVICE AT OUR SUNDARDEVI LOWER SECONDARY SCHOOL OF THE LOSS OF OUR TEACHER AND OUR 2 STUDENT ON THE 25 APRIL EARTHQUAKE - NUWAKOT

Today around 6 in the morning our team of 7 started our journey to Nuwakot for the planned memorial service dedicated for the teacher (Mr. Raju Biswakarma) and two children (Miss Rasmita and Master Prakask Biswakarma) who had lost their lives due to the earthquake.

On our arrival we began setting up the stage for the service. Once everything was organised, students, teachers and a few of the villagers began paying their respects. Our head master tried to say a few words but the emotion was very hard to take as tears poured from his eyes and couldn't complete his speech - It was time for all the student to come up to t stage to offer flower gland on the photo of the teacher and the student .. tears and emotion of sadness and the loss of our teacher and the 2 students .

After careful consideration we at NGTF had decided to bestow upon the families of the deceased some financial support. We then distributed the cheques to the respective families followed by several conversations with students, teachers and villagers regarding the situation that they were facing and the solutions that we could provide.

We would like to give special thanks to Mrs. Chris McDiven Our Honorary member and a dear friend of NGTF Sydney for her generous contribution towards the financial aid that was presented to the families of the deceased.
